My mission is to train leaders to transform diversity into a competitive advantage, building work environments where different skills and personalities integrate in a positive way.
My vision is a world where respect, collaboration, transparency and authenticity are the basis of team growth and motivation.
I do this by sharing how communication and behavior are linked in order to optimize the effect it has on a team and an organization.
Leading a group of people is rewarding, but also demanding.
As a leader, it is not enough to be skilled in your profession, you must also understand human behavior to get everyone to pull in the same direction. The manager is also responsible for building a healthy working environment where employees thrive and contribute to their own, the team’s and the company’s development.
The pitfalls are many:
- Managers operate on autopilot due to time constraints and are unable to follow up the staff and thus ensure continuity in quality/service
- Operational day-to-day life is spent solving problems that could have been avoided if staff training and follow-up had become a priority (organization working proactively instead of reactive)
- As a result of inadequate follow-up of employees, the manager experiences frequent replacement of staff or qualified applicants are not found
- Employees are not motivated and only focus on a single task and not the whole picture (sometimes because it’s not clearly communicated how their performance is linked to the company's end delivery)
- Departmental meetings lack structure, follow-up and responsibility/accountability for tasks
- The manager lacks the tools to detect cooperation challenges in the group and is often lacking hands-on tools to handle conflicts
- Communication with clients lacks structure so customer service standard varies
- Internal communication is either insufficient, lacking altogether or is complicated due to language barriers and/or shift work
If you have good employees, it is extremely important that you take care of them. The most important thing you can do is to ensure that your employees are in constant development and growth, which means that the company is able to deliver at a high level and thus ensure continuity when it comes to customer loyalty and satisfaction. The manager's job is therefore to facilitate the development of employees so that they master their job, thus creating well-being and motivation.
Why can I help you?
Throughout a long working career, I have had many different professions and positions which have given me the most important insight: what people need to perform.
In addition, I have worked in the hotel and tourism industry both in Norway and Italy, both as an employee, manager and Training Manager, the latter training employees and managers in service delivery and management.
Having coached people within a wide range of industries, I am well aware of the pressure and the problems connected to several businesses.
For the past 14 years I have studied and worked with people and their development and I have through several certifications put into use concrete tools and strategies to help people perform better in different contexts.
The advantages of management development
in your company
Improved customer service
Managers have concrete tools to motivate and inspire their teams. This in turn leads to better customer service as motivated employees are more likely to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
Improved teamwork
Did you know that 90% of conflicts in the workplace arise due to poor or inadequate communication? Customized leadership programs emphasize effective communication, conflict resolution and team building skills. This promotes a positive work environment and improves collaboration between employees, resulting in a more cohesive and productive team.
Adaptability to change
Many industries are dynamic, and managers must adapt to changing trends and customer expectations. Leadership training helps leaders develop a flexible mindset, enabling them to navigate change and guide their teams through transitions effectively.
Increased employee engagement
Engaged employees are more likely to be productive and provide better service. Managerial training focuses on strategies to reduce stress, engage and motivate employees, promote a positive workplace culture that contributes to higher job satisfaction and thus higher employee satisfaction.
Effective problem solving
Managers often face various challenges in their own industry. Manager training improves problem-solving skills, enabling managers to resolve issues quickly, make informed decisions and minimize the impact of issues on the guest experience.
Affects the bottom line
Well-trained managers who facilitate a good working environment ensure lower turnover and sick leave linked to stress and dissatisfaction, which in turn keeps costs down.
New hires and follow-up
Managers learn to recruit the right person and understand how a thorough onboarding ensures that the new employee delivers high customer service within a short time.
In summary, leadership training is a valuable investment that can lead to improved customer service, engaged employees who "will go the extra mile", influence the bottom line positively and generally contribute to a good working environment.
